Impenetrable black colour. A classic Fonseca nose dominated by an exuberant, hedonistic fruitiness, a powerful redolence of dark dense blackberry and blackcurrant which slowly releases a heady mix of spicy and herbal aromas, seductive notes of coffee and cocoa, hints of prune and wild scents of gumcistus. The thick velvety tannins give the wine a voluptuous density, integrating effortlessly with the sumptuous infusion of blackberry jam, dark chocolate and liquorice which coats the palate.

A sublime port of very great age which shows the old olive-gold hue of its many years in cask. Decades of evaporation have concentrated this extraordinary wine to an exceptional density, with a powerful nose of dried fruit, honey and a touch of spice. Impressions of nutmeg, roasted coffee and an intense nuttiness converge both in the bouquet and on the palate. Rich, intense, voluptuous, almost viscous texture culminate in a finish of incredible length.

Rich magenta colour. Powerful, intense, black fruit and cherry aromas with lovely fragrant aromatic notes. On the mouth this wine is in perfect harmony with beautifully balanced fruit and tannins. Rich purple, red in colour, with a vibrant rim. A nose of great purity opening on a note of lovely floral, aromatic blueberry and blackberry. The palate is concentrated with beautifully pure sweet fruit and a lovely spicy, savoury, silky tannic structure. Rock rose and violets, liquorice, black cherries and plums resonate in the mid palate leading to an interminable finish of rich, dark chocolate, kirsch and blackcurrants. Still armed with exceptional power, depth and purity of fruit, this seductive vintage port with its characteristic Taylor understatement and restraint is still very youthful, with decades of potential ahead.

Inky black with purple rim. A nose of great purity opening on a vigorous note of concentrated black woodland fruit laced with raspberry and plum. Around this dense core, with its attractive vibrancy and minerality, is a fragrant and complex aura of citrus blossom and wild herbal scents of mint and lavender. Supported by a tight warp of thick tannins, the palate explodes with concentrated ripe black fruit flavour which surges into the long finish before being gripped in a tight tannic embrace.

The wine has a fine and elegant mouth feel. There are layers of flavour with the fruit in the berry and cherry spectrum. Savoury complexity and soft tannins support the sweet fruit to give a rich mid pallet. This wine offers typical Pinot Noir character at a brilliant price.
