This SV5182 Pinot Noir is a special selection of the best parcels from the eight different clones currently producing on TWR's home vineyard. Year after year as the vines mature, TWR are seeing an increasing depth and complexity in the wines and they have chosen to showcase that with their SV Pinot Noir.

This wine is made from TWR's oldest vines (planted in 1979) and has gorgeous lifted aromas of jasmine, fresh lemon, and ripe Kaffir lime which follow through on to the palate. Flavours of fresh lime juice, lemon sorbet and ripe grapefruit with hints of floral spice are balanced by a fine backbone of ripe acidity. This Riesling is a dry style which has excellent fruit weight and concentration to balance the lingering mineral acid structure. This wine is finely structured with great length of flavour.

TWR's passion for making and drinking Riesling is based partly on the wide variety of styles that this variety can produce. This Riesling 'M' is designed from the 'vineyard-in' in a medium-dry style and is dangerously drinkable. Lifted aromas of mandarin, pink grapefruit, and white peach follow onto vibrant, ripe flavours of the same with juicy lime with underlying slatey mineral notes. This wine is fine and soft with excellent fruit weight and concentration to counterbalance the mouth-watering acidity.

Te Whare Ra Single Vineyard Syrah exhibits fragrant notes of mulberry, black pepper and violets with some complex savoury notes and hints of coffee and spice. The ripe, supple tannins combine with concentrated flavours of mulberries and omega plums and spice. The palate carries onto more savoury and complex flavours and finishes with a lingering persistence of fruit, fine tannin and well-integrated oak.

Toru is a delicious, co-fermented 'field blend' of three varieties - Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris. Toru has an intriguing nose with notes of mango, fresh citrus, white florals and exotic spices. These lead into a multi-layered palate with flavours of mango, citrus, red apple and lychee with a lingering spiciness. The palate has excellent fruit concentration and weight with lovely creamy texture, plus a mineral edge which gives it great length of flavour.

A dry, zesty and fresh sparkling wine with enticing green apple and pear characters complemented by citrus notes.

High in the hills of Central Otago, the Mysterious Diggings vineyard is drenched in sun and comprised of rocky terraces heavy with native schist, imbuing its Pinot Noir namesake with a fragrant sensuality and a tingling minerality.

A highly perfumed, layered nose of blackberry, blueberry and dried strawberry unfolds with pomegranate, bramble, liquorice, thyme, exotic spice and orange peel. Intense and complex, the palate reveals black cherry and crushed strawberry interwoven with warm spice, star anise and a deep mineral seam of crushed rock and earth. Powerful yet composed, the wine carries beautifully integrated tannins and a lively line of acidity that bring both tension and precision. The finish is long and resonant, a strong mineral thread sustaining fruit, structure and spice. Combining power with grace, this Pinot captures the essence of Slapjack.

The sun-drenched Terrace Edge descends sharply to the Waipara River, creating an exceptional place for growing organic grapes. Terrace Edge truly believe that premium wine is first hand-crafted in the vineyard. The beautiful, concentrated fruit is then transformed into artisan wines through gentle, traditional winemaking. This Syrah offers splendid fruit purity and perfume, it shows Black Doris plum, blueberry, violet, olive and toasted almond characters on the nose, followed by a concentrated palate that's refined and plush.
