Building on Penfolds' longstanding connection with France and the expertise of Champagne House Thiénot, this elegant Brut Rosé reflects the collaborative vision of Thiénot Chef de Cave Nicholas Uriel and Penfolds Chief Winemaker Peter Gago. Delicate yet full of charm, it opens with enticing aromas of raspberry, redcurrant and strawberry, lifted by notes of pink grapefruit, mandarin and soft florals. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes.
