The harvest from these parcels is always carried out later because of the dominant varieties, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon. Careful vinification gives this wine depth, elegance and length in the mouth. The floral bouquet of the Cabernet variety is predominant in the wines youth but develops later towards the more complex aromas of a Grand Vin de Bordeaux. Beautiful deep colour with purple tints. Focused and fruity nose with faint toast in the background. The same fairly elegant aromatic combination flows through to the palate. A very accessible, supple, crisp Bordeaux.

A decadent and indulgent expression of South African winemaking, crafted from grapes grown on the decomposed granite slopes of the Darling Hills, where cooling Atlantic breezes shape their character. A portion of the fruit is left to naturally raisin on the vine, lending richness and intensity before being blended with oak-matured Pinotage. The result is seductively smooth and full-bodied, with alluring aromas of Turkish delight, chocolate, red cherry and vanilla, followed by layers of plum, butterscotch and supple tannins. The Côtes du Rhône Saint-Esprit is made from a blend of Syrah and Grenache which come from a small village in the Ardèche region. The vineyard's southern exposure on steep granite hillsides provides the best growing conditions for the vines. The Saint-Esprit's deep colour has a dark, plum-like hue. The nose is classic syrah, with berry fruit, violet and licorice. It has a full, rounded palate with delicate tannins, making it a unique wine in the Côtes du Rhône appellation. The Côtes du Rhône Saint-Esprit pairs well with Provençale-style cuisine, stuffed tomatoes and eggplant, mixed grills and barbecue.

This wine was reputed in the 16th century for its delicacy, and was poured at the table of the kings of France. A seductively fruity nose, with a delicate hint of wood. On the palate this wine has good volume, and shows grippy tannins that are the true reflection of its genuine terroir.
