This Port Charlotte 10 year old has been conceived, distilled, matured and bottled on Islay alone. We are a young team with deep-rooted values, and an ambition to make the ultimate 'Islay' Islay whisky. A whisky made by people not software; a whisky watched over every day of its maturing life by those who made it; a whisky born of a community with a vision and a mission to kick start a single malt whisky revolution, this Port Charlotte 10 year old is who we are. This is where we're from.

The heavily peated malt for this dram has been created from harvests brought home from three Islay farms, by Raymond and his farming colleagues Neil Mclellan and Raymond Fletcher. The resulting rich, aromatic Port Charlotte wash was trickle distilled in our Victorian stillhouse during 2011. Moving forward we now have 19 farmers who have made the commitment to grow for us and to whom we are equally committed. This Islay barley is who we are. This is where we're from.

On the front of the palate, Portobello Road Gin has a generous slug of juniper, the mid-palate has a sustained, fresh citrus character from our use of lemon, bitter orange and coriander, which then develops into a sweet peppery finish, achieved by the use of liquorice and nutmeg.

This Temperance Spirit is a lower-alcohol choice for those who want to moderate their alcohol intake without losing the flavour of gin! Using the same botanicals as the Portobello Road Gin, the Temperance has a well-balanced flavour of warm botanicals, juniper and citruses. Use this spirit as a replacement for any gin cocktail for a less boozy way of enjoying a good drink.
