Named after the percentage of South Australian Cabernet Sauvignon used in its inaugural release, Bin 149 reflects Penfolds' global approach to winemaking and commitment to crafting wines of distinction. The 2021 vintage opens with layers of blackberry, inkwell minerality, roasted pepper, bresaola and subtle olive notes. The palate delivers blueberry, dark cherry, mulberry and baking spice, enriched by hints of dark chocolate and savoury complexity. Matured in French and American oak, it offers impressive depth, polished structure and a refined finish, with the capacity to develop beautifully through to 2049.
