This pinnacle release Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from the very finest fruit selection and is entirely estate grown and bottled on the Taylor family estate in the Clare Valley, South Australia. Immediately approachable but will cellar well in ideal conditions for up to 20 years from vintage date.

The beautiful floral aromas of lavender, violet, plum, and blackcurrant, are all in orbit around the wine's dark savoury core of tightly would graphite, nori, coffee grounds, vanilla and tobacco. The palate is intensely concentrated, with a superbright tension building freshness and precision as layer upon layer of fine polished tannins give pinpoint detail alongside signature, exacting, levels of finesse. Bright, succulent, ripe red fruits create an inviting first impression of this classic Ata Rangi Pinot Noir. As the wine unfolds, delicate floral aromas emerge - think of dark, velvety roses - a fitting image for a wine with such luxuriously silky textural qualities. Tannins are very fine, very supple, allowing the wine to show lovely primary fruit on the nose at this early stage. A Tuscan Icon. Centuries of regional history are encapsulated in this wine, which is famous across the whole world. Read the name Chianti, and you think of hills, villages, parish churches and farmhouses, where time stands still, preserving beauty and taste, keeping them authentic and intact, just as they once were. Sangiovese 85%, Merlot 10%, Other red grapes 5%. Clear, ruby-red in colour, with reasonable depth and 'legs' indicating good structure. Perfumes of cherries and fresh red fruit, mingle with spicy, peppery notes. The wine is lively and fresh in the mouth, with soft, rounded tannins. Good intensity, attractive structure and fine, long length.

Aroha is a romantic word in the Ma0ori language of New Zealand meaning love. Reflective of its namesake, Aroha is handcrafted with passion from two unique parcels of Pinot Noir, including one of the legendary Abel clone. The fruit is grown on a slope of an elevate terrace of fertile land at the Te Muna Road vineyard where an ancient dried river bed delivered nutrient rich soil perfect for growing Pinot Noir. A traditional burgundy in colour with a soft crimson hue. The palate is lively and pure, focusing towards a red fruit core, whilst the tannins are prevalent but balanced. The concentration of flavour is high as a result of the low yield. Plenty of personality in a wine that will continue to soften with age.
